Catriona MacInnes – The Art Studio

Catriona Macinnes (Art Studio Leader & Committee Member) is an art psychotherapist and visiting lecturer who has practiced for over twenty years in statutory, voluntary and private sectors. She grew up immersed in the myth, story, music and traditions of Gaelic Scotland, developing a passion for creative expression and ritual as a part of everyday life. Her initial training in Fine Art led to explorations of self, woman and myth and the discovery of transformational aspects of creative process. She has maintained an active dialogue with symbol and imagination through a variety of media; from drawing and painting to performance art, video and concrete poetry. Dance has drawn her over the years; she enjoys Argentinian tango and has maintained an active interest in Authentic Movement since 2006. Catriona has been a regular participant of the Champernowne Trust Annual Summer Course since 1997, which enabled enriching and depth experience across the art forms, as well as leading to increasing interest in Jungian and post Jungian ideas. She joined the committee of the Champernowne Trust Summer Course in 2018.
